Original email for context: The question was related to the fact that in her entire history of hCG, she would be on her 6th and 7th rounds of hCG this coming year, but since it had been 2 years since she had done hCG, she wondered if her break time should be as if it’s her first and 2nd round (6 weeks) or if she should treat it like it’s her 6th and 7th rounds and break for a super long period of time (like 6 months).
That’s actually a good question! In this case, since it’s been so very long since you’ve done hCG, I personally think you are just fine to treat it as if you are just starting fresh now and wait only the 6 weeks between the first and second round of this coming year – all the regular break times between hCG rounds are here just for reminder for anyone who needs it. At this point, your body has had a very long time off.
I think personally the thrust of Dr. Simeon’s advice on breaks was with the idea of the person doing these rounds back to back and so he felt the progressively longer time between each round was needed to make sure your body didn’t become overly taxed and stop responding to the hCG – but you have had 2 years off already.
