Dr. Simeons had mentioned a minimum of 23 injections to be done.
If you follow this advice, then the following would apply:
23 total injections = 23 days VLCD.
- 2 days loading – take hCG
- 21 days – 500 calories – take hCG
- 2 days – 500 calories – no hCG
40 max injections = 46 possible VLCD days
- 2 days loading – take hCG
- 40 days – 500 calories – take hCG
- 6 skip hCG days – 500 calories (one per week for 6 weeks)
- 2 days – 500 calorie – no hCG
Once you are beyond 23 injections, I don’t personally think you need to fret over making it so exact when it comes to days. Dr. Simeons said you could anywhere between the 23 injections and 40 injections. If your round ends up being a total of 40 days or 43 days etc, this really doesn’t matter. There is nothing magical about doing the hCG Diet an exact number of days in my opinion.
I do think it’s wise to avoid doing super long rounds however – but if you are somewhere in the 3 or 6 week range of being on hCG, it’s all gravy.
