Hello!
As you may know, Miracle Skinny Drops are homeopathic drops. While I wouldn’t personally use anything but the real hormone hCG in my own system, I know drops like these are popular with many people. I understand that sometimes people take offense saying that homeopathic drops do have the real hormone in them- I’m not saying they don’t- but it’s a homeopathic preparation meaning it’s a miniscule amount.
My concern over their use for this protocol has to do with muscle sparing and metabolism. The hormone itself appears to help with these two things so that you don’t lose excess muscle on such a low calorie diet and so that you don’t experience excessive metabolic slowdown (which both of these may be likely to happen without the hormone). I am just a bit doubtful these 2 protective factors are occurring with homeopathic hCG.
I understand the role homeopathics play, and herbs, and I’m am all into the alternative health stuff.
But what I haven’t seen in other application is the use of a real hormone being replaced by something else homeopathic – like homeopathic birth control, or homeopathic steroids (not that’d we’d do that!), or homeopathic bioidentical hormones – I guess my point here is that hormones are very very powerful and I haven’t see there be an actual replacement for these types of things in other applications, so I’m wondering why that would suddenly be possible here?
I could be totally wrong.
The argument that people lose weight on homeopathic drops like this brand isn’t really helpful to us, since even the hCG hormone isn’t actually causing weight loss on this diet. It’s the 500 calorie diet that is. Even if you took no hCG, no homeopathic drops, nothing, you would most likely lose just as much or close to it in weight loss. For me it’s all about how much of that weight loss was fat and how much was muscle? Many people do not test this. This has a bearing on your final metabolism after weight loss and how much you can eat without gaining weight- which obviously affects your ability to maintain. Weight loss alone as I mentioned doesn’t really prove one thing works or doesn’t work.
So personally, I wouldn’t use anything but the actual 100% hormone, but of course you are free to do as you like!
