Original email for context: I’ve been on the pellets for 23 days. I had a huge cheat last night by drinking a margarita, chips, salsa, and guacamole. I’m trying to go for 40 days and I was afraid to even weigh in this morning. Do you think I should continue? Can I still lose weight?
I think as long as you are mentally still in the game overall, you can totally continue and get back on track. I think it’s also fine to skip weighing for a few days. It would be good to expect to either have a stall for a few days (doesn’t always happen but sometimes) and give yourself a little time to get back on track. Here is my post on the fastest way to fix a cheat, and you can skip weighing for 3-4 days if you think that will help mentally, and then see where you are at then.
Just to make you feel better, I had some super bad cheats on some of my rounds too! (Hello multiple pork chops in butter….) And I did overcome them and have a good weight loss average overall for the whole round. So you definitely have not ruined everything – just focus on going forward and leave the past where it is, the past!
