Original email for context: Just wanted to ask you what you think of using natural raw organic honey as a sugar substitute… Like I told you I do not do well with the alcohol based sugar substitutes like Swerve and lakanto etc….. if I did use the natural organic raw honey I would not use it until week 5 and 6 of Phase 3 and I would limit my use of it…. Just wanted your thoughts.
I think this is a case of try out a little bit and see- like you said you will be into Phase 4 maintenance by then, so it’s certainly plausible that it will be okay – there’s sugar in the dried cranberries I eat in my salads now and then and I eat dried fruit which is pretty sweet sometimes and this hasn’t been a problem for my weight in moderation- I think you give it a try and see how it goes. Likely it will be just fine if your other food intake is pretty clean.
