I actually get this question a lot and I don’t know why I’m surprised- I shouldn’t be! We all want to know if we’ll be able to indulge or have some good ‘ol mouthwatering “regular” food again.
Here’s my take on this – I’m sure you probably can.
While I don’t eat regular cake anymore these days because I find I get out of control too easily with it, I do eat French fries every week in regular maintenance.
The key I have found to my own maintenance when it comes to indulgences is this:
It’s usually more a matter of what you can eat in moderation with your unique self, and then making whatever food compensations at other times during the day or day before etc to allow for a higher calorie indulgence sometimes.
Like when I get my fries, I typically eat it with chicken breast just to keep things in balance, rather than say a burger with a bun.
