I chose to label the first day of the low-calorie diet as day 0 for the following reason: Weight loss doesn’t start adding up until after the first VLCD day. The morning of the 8th day on the diet, your written entry will show how much you’ve lost after seven full days, one full week, on the 500 calorie diet. To me, this is the most accurate way to gauge your weight loss.
It’s all too easy for the scale and time to mess with our heads, so I felt it best to be as accurate as possible so you really see how well you are doing.
