Original email for context: My weight yesterday was 176.8 and when I weighed today it 178.0. I did eat some P3 chili last night for dinner.. I am just worried I won’t stabilize and gain back the 14 lbs I lost. Any advice?
As long as you are within the 2 pound window please don’t worry about it.
Dr. S made that range for a reason- give yourself some time here- if you’ll notice the calories on this first week especially are quite low, unless your metabolism was slower than that, it’s impossible that you would gain fat on it- so allow some little fluctuations and see how things go. Definitely eat to hunger- if you eat part of the meal and feel full, don’t stuff yourself to finish it, that can indicate it’s too much food for your body. And lastly, if when you eat foods, you feel you are not digesting something well, that can be a good idea to possibly wait on eating that again – this is not a problem often, but can come up now and again and inflammation can cause water retention. But my guess is things will turn out fine as the week wears on.
