I must be honest and say that almost everyone has a much slower 2nd round.
This is usually because people are starting at a lower weight, so they can’t be losing as much as the first time, unless their metabolism suddenly sped up a lot which isn’t how it works- when you have a smaller body, you actually burn less calories than a larger body each day.
But even in people who say do a round, regain the weight, then do another round, weight loss is often slower- that I am not sure as to the reason why.
Another thing to consider is that losing less on a 2nd round is accurate because a first round often involves a lot of water weight loss that won’t be there on the 2nd round if the person has continued to eat clean and healthy between their 1st and 2nd round. So like if you ate crap for 2 months prior to your 2nd round you might lose more weight, but it would be like false weight because you retain a lot more water from food like that, if that makes sense.
Lastly, it’s probably best to get used to this pattern of weight loss now because this is what the real fat loss portion of this protocol is like- scientifically, a woman only burns like maybe 1500-1900 calories a day- so scientifically speaking, you’re burning 1500-1900 calories, minus the 500 calories you are eating, and it takes 3500 calories to burn 1 full lb of fat off the scale, so you have a daily calorie deficit of 1000-1400 calories (and that’s if you are on the 500 cal protocol- if you are on the 800 calorie protocol, this number is obviously less)so you can’t actually lose more than an average of .3-.5/lb of actual fat per day once all that water weight is gone. Make sense?
On my own weight loss journey I experienced several days of seemingly no weight loss. then occasional 1 lb drops overnight- and in the end my average was .3/lbs per day in my later rounds which was right on target for a person that was the size I was and the approximate daily calorie metabolic rate I would have.
One more thing to keep in mind as you get smaller, is that you may need to adjust your dosage down to avoid hunger – please see my post on this: hCG Dosage and Hunger
As far as the hCG goes, I know it’s easiest to blame the hCG, however, hCG made in the compounding pharmacies here in the U.S. which is where all the online companies listed on my blog get their hCG from are are regulated by law for potency – meaning every batch produced by law has to be tested for potency and cannot be sent out unless it falls within a range of potency- I think it’s like 90-110% potency that’s allowable- so your hcg may be a little weaker or a little stronger even (another cause for hunger) depending on which batch you received, but again this is nothing that a proper dosage adjustment wouldn’t fix. If you had a 90% potency vial, you’d need a little more than normal (not much) and if you had a vial over 100% potency, you’d need a little less hCG than normal, and whats important is to dose yourself based on hunger – once you are comfortable with hunger, then you are on the best dosage for you, whatever that may be.
I hope this helps explain things a bit.
