Usually a person will lose weight immediately on the low calorie diet. So here are a few troubleshooting things to look at?
- Exercise – this can cause immediate long stalls if your body can’t tolerate it on hCG. See my post on exercise and hCG here.
- What form of hCG are you using? Are you using hormone-free drops? Or homeopathic hCG? Neither of these are the actual hCG hormone. To me, using real hCG hormone is the only way to be sure of results. The real hormone seems to put your body in a state where it accepts being on such a low calorie diet without resisting. I have a short article mentioning my concerns with homeopathic hCG here.
- Did you happen to begin the 500 calorie right before your period or ovulation? These two time periods can create periods of water retention where you can’t see your fat loss on the scale for a few days. But that will pass.
- Are you getting a full nights sleep? This is much more important than most people think. Please see my article on hcg and sleep here.
- Are you following the actual hCG protocol as it’s laid out when it comes to foods? Because there are so many protocols and articles out there, some get misled into layouts where more fats and things like cheese are eaten. While this might be okay for some, the majority of us will experience the best results by following either the original Dr. Simeons diet, or an alternate protocol that follows the principles of his diet (very low in fat, and main foods are only lean proteins, vegetables low in carbs, and some fruits).
- Did you load and do P1? Why Load on hCG article
- Are you truly not losing any weight whatsoever, or the amounts are small and this caused you to say it was not anything? I ask because sometimes the internet can give us inaccurate perceptions of what is normal weight loss. Please see these articles to help dispel some myths about this:
- If you have gone through all this, and you literally have lost like, ZERO, and you stay on this diet for a few more days and continue to experience the same- eating 500 calories per day and losing no weight at all, I think at that point, you want to investigate hormonal issues – any person whose body is in a healthy operating condition will lose weight eating only 500 calories per day, even if they are not taking hCG at all. So if you do not, this means there is something else afoot. Imbalanced hormones (high cortisol from stress, too high or too low other hormones) high reverse t3 (thyroid) hormone- can all completely block weight loss efforts that would usually work under normal conditions. If you think this might be the case for you, please see my article here: How to Research Hormone Issues
Okay that’s all I can think of for troubleshooting. I hope it’s just one of the simple problems above that can be easily addressed!
