I am not completely sure – what I do know is that hCG by itself as a hormone, without any diet attached, is used in very large doses of 5,000iu or 10,000iu at a time in 1 shot, as a fertility treatment in fertility clinics – so in some settings it actually helps you get pregnant.
Of course we are taking much smaller dosages here – but one rather trippy thing, that of course is just what I’ve seen and not proof of anything, is a number of women who have emailed me telling me they got pregnant while on the hCG Diet after having tried for years and not being able to – so that does make me wonder if even in these small dosages if it makes pregnancy more likely.
Obviously if you did get pregnant while on the hCG Diet, you would want to stop the 500 calorie diet immediately at that point. I hope that helps!
