I don’t have any scientific data about this but I’ll share what I can in case it helps you.
From what I’ve read, if you are overweight and have PCOS, losing weight can improve symptoms. But the problem is as many ladies with PCOS know, it’s very easy to gain weight and VERY difficult to lose it when you have this condition – one reason being that the condition causes insulin resistance. The hCG diet is a bit of an anomaly in that many many ladies report being able to lose weight with the hCG protocol when they were not able to lose weight with any other diet they’d tried. So if you are able to lose weight with hCG, it’s certainly possible that you could experience longer term symptom relief from PCOS, at least to some degree.
That said, the hCG hormone itself is not magic pill for curing disorders like PCOS. I have hashimotos thyroid disease, and it didn’t cure that or anything. I was overweight dealing with it before hCG, and now I’m just thin dealing with it- that’s the main difference.
Sometimes women report feeling better as far as their PCOS symptoms while on hCG, but that this doesn’t last after they get off the diet. But hopefully at least you’ll know overall that women with PCOS do seem to reliably be able to lose weight with this program. The other thing I should note is that sometimes your total weight loss per round may be less than the average person- however, it’s still good and you have to work with what you have right?
I do have a couple of hCG interviews with ladies who did hCG while having PCOS you might gather some useful info from:
Episode 30: Sarah, age 31, lost 90 lbs in total, has PCOS.
Episode 29: Heather, age 42, lost 150 lbs in total, has PCOS and type 2 diabetes
I also found a woman’s blog with PCOS who chronicled her hCG journey.
This forum thread a woman with PCOS says the hCG diet worked for her when nothing else did for weight loss.
This hCG forum thread has a few ladies sharing their successful experience losing weight on hCG with PCOS too.
I hope this helps you!
