If you find yourself in a position where you have to ignore the 2 lb stabilization rule for some reason – I have my posts on the reasons why you may need to that here: When to Ignore the 2 Lb Rule on the hCG Diet in P3- 3 scenarios:
- Reason 1: If You Didn’t Eat the Fruits During P2
- Reason 2: If You Choose to Begin Exercise in P3
- Reason 3: When You’ve Done a Million Steak Days Already
But the question arises then, how long should you stay in a P3 way of eating before incorporating some starchier carbs or a little bit of sugar back?
I have a detailed post as well as sharing my own example to help you navigate this:
How Long to Stay in P3 when you Ignore the 2lb Rule on hCG
In a nutshell, to me, starches/carbs is what will make things be more volatile, so with that in mind, to me it’s important to stay with P3 eating until your weight becomes stable for a period of time- like once you start staying within 2-3 lb window all the time for say 2 weeks, like me I got to the point that no matter what I was always somewhere between 127-129 lbs – that’s when you know your body is in homeostasis.
