Original email for context: I did good on the diet the first two weeks. I had dropped 10lbs. But then I got so hungry, I had a cheat, and it lasted 3 days. So I stopped injecting because I didn’t know what to do. That was two weeks ago. I gained my 10 lbs back😥 But now my question for you is how do I restart the hcg protocol? Should I do two load days again? Or just start injecting again? How do I get back on track?
I’m sorry that happened! Please don’t feel too bad, this is a common thing and you CAN rise again and overcome this. This is not any sort of definition of you who are or what you can do in the future. I just completely fell apart with cheating in my 2nd round and binged for weeks after aborting that round early, but I overcame that and have been maintaining my weight loss from hCG for over 6 years now. So please don’t let something like this define your future okay?
So definitely first thing- when you start again, definitely spend time really going through my hCG Dosage article to help you dial in your dose this coming round, as well as knowing how/when to adjust as it sounds like you definitely needed that 2 weeks in when you got super hungry.
2nd thing- while you COULD skip loading – you can see my article about Interruptions on the hCG Diet which is essentially what you’ve done, you are kind of at the max days off hCG allowed before you’d need to reload. So in this case, it’s possible that doing at least 1 day of loading on your new round may be a good idea to ensure you aren’t overly hungry the first week again, and you could certainly choose to do the 2 day load as well – I know it’s hard to purposefully gain weight though – one option would be if you load 1 or 2 days, to do a clean load – this almost always yields VERY minimal weight gain and for me, I always lost all that weight in like 1 day. In some cases I lost more than my gain in one day so that I was already losing “new” weight that first day.
Outside of the “logical” aspects we discussed above, there’s the mental/emotional readiness aspect to consider. That’s a component we can’t ignore.
I have a few posts that might help with that aspect:
