Additional context of original email: Like, is it going to “crave” the higher weight that I ended my drops on or will it allow me to lose some without the HCG?
As far as I know, I haven’t seen this to be a problem.
When I think back to my first round of hCG, that first P3 I did indeed stabilize within 2 lbs and was fairly steady on the scale during that time and when I began Phase 2 my 2nd round, outside of my own emotional issues with not being mentally ready for the round, I was able to lose weight just fine (when I wasn’t cheating that round arggh!).
I do believe to some extent in getting your weight very comfortable at a certain weight where it won’t easily gain, but as long as you are eating healthfully in Phase 4, I haven’t seen deciding to lose additional weight to be a problem.
One thing I should say tho is that I don’t think hCG accomplishes as much as some feel it does when it comes to resetting your metabolism and things like that.
For instance- if a person was unable to lose weight with other diets prior to hCG, I don’t see this suddenly changing and the person being able to lose without hCG after doing the protocol. It seems like whatever you dealt with before is still there – it’s just that for they actually can lose weight WITH hCG. Vice versa – if a person was able to lose weight on their own prior to hCG, they usually can afterward as well.
I feel like if a person can’t lose without hCG, this goes back ultimately to a hormone problem like thyroid/adrenal etc. and these types of things I honestly don’t believe hCG fixes. They must be addressed separately from what I’ve experienced. So if these things are looked into – my fav resource for researching this is stopthethyroidmadness.com then I do believe at that point, most ladies can lose weight post hCG.
I have also found intermittent fasting with Brad Pilon’s method eatstopeat.com (try to get past his gimmicky site- he really has a VERY valuable guide inside that I bought with lots of great studies on fasting etc) to be very useful to me personally in this regard and have used it for 6 years. Intermittent fasting 1 day a week or has allowed me to lose fat on my own, in a very gradual way where I’m eating normally the vast majority of the time. I’ve lost up to 6 lbs of fat this way in the past.
It is also true that many do gain weight back after hCG just like most other diets. What seems to be the problem is not having a plan for what/how to eat after weight loss you know? That’s what I seemed to notice, so that’s why I ended up spending almost 2 years creating my special structured program for Phase 3 and long-term maintenance—and it’s really working for ladies! Some also lost weight while doing it (but of course this is if you decide you want to lose more weight while on P3).
You might want to check it out as that tells exactly what to cook and eat and the food is delicious and will really help stabilize and keep off the weight you’ve lost. You’ll find it at https://p3tolife.com
