This can be tough to take if you are feeling like you do not agree. We get that a lot also but the thing is – your friends and family most likely are just saying this because they care about you and they simply do not understand what hCG really is and how it works.
I’ll share with you a little excerpt from what one of my virtual assistants who did the diet shared with someone else who had a similar concern:
Li-An: “My mother is a nutritionist herself who had decade-long experience working in hospitals so I was quite scared of what she would tell me when I first tried hCG. She’d heard about it but all she knew was the “bad side” actually (with all those fake drops & homeopathic stuff) so I let her do her own research and I have been reporting to her what I’ve been eating while on the diet and she’s quite surprised that it is entirely different from what she’s been hearing. Also because I used the “real” hCG and after 2 successful rounds, she thinks that it is actually a great diet if you are doing it RIGHT. (IT IS NOT A STARVATION DIET if you are following it and not cheating) And yes, even I myself, I have tried many diets and I will for sure go back to hCG when I need to lose weight again! (which I hope not and I am thankful that I am stabilizing perfectly!)”
So that’s what Li-An had to say.
Lastly, one of the reasons that this diet gets so much flack is the number of people who regain the weight. Now to be sure, it’s not like it’s any higher a ratio than any other diet people do – all diets have miserable maintenance rates- but since this is a controversial protocol, eating such a low-calorie diet, and injecting a hormone (be it as natural as it is), it just adds fuel to the fire for being opposed to the protocol.
I think if more friends and family saw their loved ones actually maintaining their weight loss long term, they would change their tune.
I created the P3toLife program, the only structured maintenance program for after the hCG diet, and it reliably works. More ladies are stabilizing and maintaining as a result and I think this could help turn the tide of people’s attitudes towards this protocol.
Not sure if this helps you in any way, but know you are not alone in this fight!
