Original email for context: I have a vacation planned at the end of the month, and I wanted to know if you have any suggestions on how to stay successful during phase 2? I bought a travel scale and a portable way to keep the HCG cold, but I’m concerned about eating.
Traveling while on hCG can be quite a challenge. For some helpful tips you can watch my interview with Vicki from Episode 36 of the hCG Diet Interviews as she had great tips.
May I be honest with you about what I think would be best depending on your scenarios? Just in all reality in order to save you grief.
If you can get a kitchenette – then I think you can manage to do P2 successfully.
If you can’t get a kitchenette- I do NOT recommend eating out for 2 weeks on hCG – it’s just so hard girl.
I don’t travel much but when I flew to visit an hCG pharmacy in Florida a few years ago, I was in 3 airports, and I figured hey this is a great time for me to see what the options are for someone on P2 in an airport. I figured I’d take some video of ways to do hCG while traveling!
But guess what? I couldn’t find any good ideas. There was literally nothing at the airport that would work whatsoever. It was crazy! I really wanted to find something but failed. hCG is just really unforgiving that it’s really not worth doing the protocol unless you can do it the way it’s meant to be done (no fat, the very low calorie, etc). You don’t want to be doing that day after day if you’re not getting results you could be getting, you know?
So this is not to discourage you but to just say it would be better to stop your round early in my opinion if you can’t maintain control over your food sources/choices and then do the rest of your round when you get back. It’s perfectly okay to do this. While traveling in between you’d want to eat P3 style, and eat to hunger, not overly stuffing yourself etc.
So kitchenette – maybe continue
No kitchenette – take a break from hCG
Since you are on week 3 of hCG, you can conclude your round before you leave. Even with the kitchenette, you might want to give real thought to the circumstances you’ll be in and just how realistic it is for you personally to stay on P2 – only you will know the answer to that because people’s personalities are different and sometimes things that I know I couldn’t handle, others actually manage quite well, and if you travel for work a lot, you might be adapted to it a bit and be able to continue P2 with your kitchenette.
I hope this helps and sorry for the reality check, but I feel it only proper seeing what I’ve seen in the past of others to share the truth with you on this.
