Original email for context: I need to travel overnight – will it hurt to take my injection the morning of travel and then wait until late afternoon the next day to take injection – I am flying and don’t want to carry the syringe.
There’s 2 ways you could handle this –
You could actually just do a skip day entirely (skip your hCG dose but do the regular vlcd day) on the day you had planned on taking it late afternoon. Skip days were part of the original protocol once a week on the 6 week program anyway, and it usually doesn’t present a problem for ladies since hCG stays in your system for up to 72 hours – in general hunger and weight loss for just the 1 skip day will be the same.
The 2nd option is to do what you suggested – if you do this, you might want to either take a slightly smaller dosage though that later afternoon, OR take a smaller dosage on the following morning when your resume your normal injection schedule. The only reason I’m suggesting that is so that you don’t find yourself having a crossover period of time where you have more hCG in your system than usual, since that cause hunger. It’s totally possible this wouldn’t be a problem at all, but for instance, if you usually take 150iu’s each day, I might choose to take the normal 150ius on that late afternoon dose you’re suggesting, then the following morning when I’m ready to inject again, instead of doing 150iu’s again so soon after my previous dose, I might just inject 100ius that day. Then back to regular 150iu schedule from them.
That’s just an idea. I hope these 2 options help you choose what you want to do!
