I would suggest to still do Phase 3 and take the full recommended break between your next round of hCG (which is longer than the 3-week Phase 3 period – see here for the timeline of breaks between hCG rounds). I think honestly it would be even more important in a case like this where you’ve been on the very low-calorie diet (VLCD) for 3-6 weeks without the real hCG hormone in your system.
This diet IS taxing to the body – it works great, and I believe in it, but it’s still extreme, with real hCG or not. I feel a body then needs a good long break of time to rest and not be in a state of stress so that you can recover and be ready for another round at a later time. The risk with doing back to back rounds like this is
If you do a gradual calorie raise with the right foods, the way we do in the P3toLife program, I think you have a high likelihood of stabilizing your homeopathic hCG weight loss JUST fine. Really and truly. The body is very resilient and just wants homeostasis. As long as you are willing to be gradual and not shock your system, your body can re-adapt to a normal calorie intake, even if you’ve had some metabolic slowdown while on the diet. There was a study done on weight-recovered anorexics and in that they found that these women’s metabolisms were no different from the healthy controls – so basically they had completely normal metabolisms once they recovered to a healthy weight – and this is for people who obviously did a lot of damage to their metabolism through their eating behaviors over a period of years. It was a small group of individuals tested, but just an example to show that even if we do something to our bodies we later feel was unwise, recovery is what our body wants and will usually do if we give it the right method to do it.
I hope this helps you!
