Of course you must make your own decision and I don’t want to be going around telling people to do the opposite of what their doc told them. So fair warning there! You know I’m not a professional. Disclaimer done.
If it were me and my own personal body, I would do a lower dosage if I were 50 lbs or less overweight. 150iu can often be a good starting point. If I was more than 50 lbs overweight, I would probably start a bit higher, maybe 175iu. I have a handy blogpost to show you where these dosages are on the syringe.
That said, will being on too high a dosage prevent your weight loss from being the best it could be? That I’m not sure of. The main symptom of too high dosage is ravenous hunger. Outside of that, I do sometimes hear of someone saying they are not losing as well either – but that’s harder to really prove since weight loss really varies on the protocol regardless of hCG dosage.
Ultimately it stands to reason that the best weight loss and experience and sticking-to-the-diet will occur when you are on a dosage that you feel physically the best at. In general, being on a higher dosage just makes you starved but in most cases, if you could get past the starved feeling and stick to the diet, you’d probably lose weight just as well.
