Original Question: I have followed your P3tolife plan as closely as life will let me with only one Cheat. I had some pumpkin sangria at our family Halloween party and my weight reflected it for about four days while still taking the shots. I started at 190 (193 after loading days) and was at 178 at the end of my 28-day protocol. I’m just about finished with Week Two in Phase 3. Should I be worried I am still losing weight? I’m down to 175. Am I now losing good fat? I’m a bit confused. Don’t get me wrong, I have several more rounds to go to get to my ideal weight, but I don’t want to lose the fat my body needs to be healthy.
Does this make any sense? I am thrilled to still be losing weight but am not sure it’s the right kind.

Many ladies lose some weight on P3 and here’s my input on this – of course, in the end, you do what you feel most comfortable with okay? You can totally stop losing weight by simply gradually adding a little more butter or oil to a meal to increase the calories.
So here are my thoughts though. Many people lose weight on all sorts of diets, and I just really don’t believe they are all losing the wrong kind of fat- I think that’s a bit of a myth – I’ve lost weight off of hCG when I needed to make corrections, I don’t feel I looked worse because I wasn’t on hCG while losing it- it just really doesn’t make sense if you think about it – people have been gaining and losing fat for thousands of years, without hCG- they can’t have been losing some sort of wrong fat all that time. Does that make sense?
So, here’s what I find- you can lose weight on P3 – the ticket to stabilizing and keeping off the weight loss is that WHEN you are ready to stop losing weight, you need to be eating super clean P3 style to get your weight stable- when this is however, really doesn’t matter- whether that’s now, or in 4 weeks, or in 8 weeks. I hope that makes sense.
Again, if you feel uncomfortable with this, you can add some oil or butter to your meal – 1 tbsp has about 130ish calories for fats like this, so you can add 1 tbsp at a time per day until you stop losing weight.
