The keto diet while on hCG is totally a different protocol from the original Dr. Simeons’ one and honestly, I really don’t know if it would be a wise thing to do or not.
I’ve found a group on Facebook though who are doing the keto diet with low calories and hCG that’s called hCG Diet 3.0. It is a combination of a modified personalized keto diet, that uses calorie and macro-nutrient confusion to help improve your losses.
The protocol is very different from the original protocol and some feel it works, so you can check that out if you like. Keep in mind if you do this, once you transition back to any sort of diet/way of eating that include some carbs that you will most likely need to stabilize higher than the 2lb window because any sort of super low carb diet like this results in loss of glycogen stores – this can be okay- but as soon as you have some carbs, those glyocgen stores refill instantly which weighs something and that will reflect on the scale.
More on this topic to help you learn/decide here (the article was written in reference to doing a more traditional hCG diet version but with the grissini and fruits removed)- but the same principle applies:
When to throw the 2 lb rule out the window
