I’m a big fan of regular intermittent fasting in regular life, but of course, this doesn’t involve days of back to back fasting.
Here’s my concern with 7-day water fast – muscle loss. I am not sure if you would experience more muscle loss or not. But honestly, I have no idea what the result would be- if you decide to try it would be interested in hearing your results. I know complete water fasting does spare muscle pretty well and hCG does too, so it’s very possible that it could be a good combo! If you could do hydrostatic body fat testing before and after that would be awesome to find out.
I would think if you did utilize it and it brought good results, it seems likely that it’s still only something you should pursue every once in a great while, and to really treat this like a cleanse and LAY LOW girl. Lay low, keep all stress out of your life, and rest, drink your water, so that your body can really do its thing and detox and process and do that heavy work that it can potentially do during such a fast.
I think the main thing would be adding food back in VERY carefully afterward and very gradually as your body will be quite sensitive to food at first.
