Actually, a lot of women don’t do well with exercise while on P2 both in weight loss and energy – so if you’re not doing that, I am doubtful it would help.
It seems like there might be something else going on in your body right now. hCG doesn’t cause you to lose weight, which is a commonly misunderstood thing. Your own body loses weight as a result of the 500 calorie diet. Even with no hCG a person whose body is in correct operating condition should lose the same amount of weight. That’s why this indicates that something else is going on in your body right now that’s preventing a more normal pace of weight loss. What hCG’s role is in the diet is to curb hunger and preserve muscle mass so that you are losing fat and not muscle.
As you mentioned, being on a strict VLCD for 6 days, and losing only a pound, a person not on hCG would typically have lost more than this as well- so again, it sounds like hormone levels are being off in your body and metabolism that needs to be addressed. Here’s my post to help you navigate research on hormone imbalances.
For instance, we have seen that if cortisol levels are high, due to some health circumstances or a lot of stress in life, weight just won’t budge. Some of these core issues sometimes have to be addressed in order for hCG and this diet to work.
If you can work through this, that can really turn things around for you when it comes to weight loss – in regular life and with hCG.
