Personally, I don’t know that it’s the best idea to fast on the hCG Diet – we are already eating so little as it is – and believe me I am a fan of intermittent fasting in regular life, I do utilize this tool frequently.
The thing that seems to make intermittent fasting balanced is that when you close/finish a fast day, you eat a hearty meal with a fair amount of calories. This is not something you can do on P2 of the hCG Diet, so I really do question what may happen on this diet with muscle loss and metabolism if intermittent fasting is utilized when you are closing your fast with only a 250 calorie meal with very little protein.
That’s just my concern. I did do a fast day once on one of my own hCG rounds and I personally decided not to do it again as I felt it wasn’t a good thing- that’s just my gut talking though, I don’t have any proof of anything.
