Original email for context: My question is I’ve lost a lot of my hair and seem to keep losing it. My last dosage was the beginning of March and now it’s July. Is there something I should be taking now and during my next round to help prevent the loss of my hair?
It is true that temporary hair loss can be a side-effect of the hCG protocol from time to time. I have a post where discuss hair loss here and why it happens.
My P2 resources page has a few suggestions that I’ve gathered for this, but I’ll list them here as well since it takes a bit of scrolling to get to on that page.
One POSSIBLE tip that another hCGer said really did seem to work for her was to spray a solution of MSM powder mixed with water on her BODY after getting out of shower – air dry. She swears this stopped her hair loss while on hCG. If it worked then may as well try after hCG too! I’m sorry that I do not know how much msm she put in the water, you’ll have to play with that. Maybe a tablespoon?
Biotin – really does make fresh hair grow! Take this product on Phase 2 only if you are comfortable taking the small amount of coconut oil that’s in it. For Phase 3 and beyond obviously totally okay, and I definitely noticed a difference when I used it.
I finally got around to googling this whole idea re the MSM and here’s what I found:
MSM apparently does speed up hair follicle growth – so I believe the idea is it should/may help your body recover more quickly from the hair loss.
Truth about MSM and Hair Growth – this blogpost has a recipe to use as well!
Hope this helps you!
