Original email for context: I’ve been taking a probiotic for years now and have continued to take it throughout my hcg round. I just realized that potato starch is in the list of ingredients. Is this enough to affect my losses?
First of all I love probiotics and I found they really helped me at one point in greater dosages with constipation actually do. Here’s my help hub on constipation and hCG that discusses this.
Re your question – Normally, that very tiny amount won’t really affect your losses. And it sounds like you’ve already been taking it for quite awhile on hCG without a noticeable problem, so I think that kind of lets you know it’s fine.
But maybe in the future, if you do find a probiotic that doesn’t have a filler like that, that might be even better. For instance, I took a look at the probiotic I take and the only additional ingredients the actual probiotics are the cellulose of the capsule, L-Leucine, and Silica.
Innate Response Flora 50-14 clinical strength $70 range – that’s the one pictured above that I take.
It’s a pricier supplement than some, but it’s a known quality brand without those unnecessary cheap fillers. They also have some lower strength probiotics by same brand that are more affordable as well:
Innate Response Flora 5-14 – more in the $22-25 range
Innate Response Flora 20-14 – more in the $45 range
I hope this helps!
