I have a detailed post about how I utilized fat-free Greek yogurt while on P2 here that you should definitely check out!
But one thing I will add is that I did not lose 1 lb per day every day on the hCG protocol and neither would most women in my weight category. This is a misconception that the internet is perpetuating. This happens typically only when you have a large amount of weight to lose. For women like myself, normal losses typically average out to .5/lb day average. And in real terms what this means is that some days I might actually lose 1.8 lbs on the scale, and other days .2 or .4 – so that it averages out to about .5 lb/day by the end of a round. This has to do with what a normal woman’s daily metabolism is and how many calories you can realistically burn in a day. For most women, this is between 1400-1800 calories a day. Since it takes 3500 calories to burn 1 lb of fat, you can see that for actual fat loss, it takes 2-4 days to lose 1 lb of fat (remember we must also minus the 500 calories we’re eating day when calculating our total daily calorie deficit of how much we “burned off” that day). Extra weight loss is water etc.
Lastly, I want to clarify too that the fat-free Greek yogurt was used as a fruit replacement, not a protein replacement, so I am not sure how it would work out using it as the protein replacement.
Outside of that, yes I had good/same losses while using the yogurt- for me it was actually slightly better weight loss since I was replacing the carbs in the fruit with the lower carb yogurt- however this is just “false” extra weight loss that does come back later as I detail out here in this article:
Results in P3 When You Don’t Eat Fruits in P2
So I wouldn’t suggest using this method to lose more true weight as I don’t think it’s actually doing that.
I hope this helps!
